Did you know that of the hundreds of depression glass patterns produced in North America there are a few which are unique to Canada?

Some of these were produced by Dominion Glass.

The oldest of these is called Hiawatha and bears some resemblance to the American Homespun pattern which is popular S of the border. Hiawatha was produced from the mid 30's into the 40s. Most books on depression glass are American and as far as I know, none of them illustrate or describe this pattern. We have a number of pieces of Hiawatha for sale.
