Canuck (N.B.) Pottery Jug

The age of this little jug is readily seen in the insciption on the side - 1950.

It commemorates a meeting of the Gyro fraternal order/ service club in St John, New Brunswick in that year.

While unmarked as to the manufacturer, it is very typical of Canuck Pottery which was operating in St. John at the time.

It is made of deep red brown clay with a pale blue green glaze. The inscription is hand cut through the glaze. It is 2 1/2" high and approx 3" across the spout and handle.
