William IV Decanter

This decanter is a terrific example of a hand-blown flint glass decanter dating from William IV or the early Victorian era.

The shoulders are faceted and the 10 sides of the body are separated by cut channels. Three hand-applied rings on the neck.

The bottom has a cut star which largely obscures what appears to be an open pontil.

It measures 9 inches tall (incl stopper), 3 1/4 in. diameter. Weight is a hefty 775 g.

The stopper appears to be original and has a cut star on the top surface. Also has a large entrained bubble. It has a slight tilt.

Excellent antique condition.
