This spoon is exceptional. It was produced as a souvenir for the 300th anniversary of the founding of Quebec City in 1608. Horse drawn Caleche rides have always been popular with tourists in Quebec and this spoon features one in its bowl which has been carefully cut out. (Note the tiny stirrup dangling from the carriage in front of the wheel – cut out both inside and out – it’s under a 1/16″ wide).
On the handle is the beautiful coat of arms of Quebec City done in multicolored cloisonne.
It is marked “Sterling Reg 1908 R.H A” on the back of the handle. The RH probably stands for Robert Hendry. The back of the shield is marked “CJL Sterling”.
Overall length is 5.25″ and the width of the bowl is a little more than 2″. It weighs 26 grams. Excellent condition.

Re shipping. When you check out you will be quoted a price for the shipping based on your address and the estimated physical size and weight of the package.
All items destined to any country outside of Canada (including USA) will have tariffs applied (percentage of the item’s value depending on the country of origin) and brokerage fees (approx $2).
Items destined to the USA require a label or mark stating the country of origin – in many cases vintage items aren’t marked and I may have to physically attach such a label myself.
