If you could afford to cross the Atlantic on the Queen Elizabeth Cunard liner, you could afford Canadian Maple syrup on your pancakes served in a specially made Canuck Pottery jug. On one side in gold are the French words “Sirop d’Erable Le Reine Elizabeth and on the other side it says “Maple Syrup The Queen Elizabeth”.
The Queen Elizabeth was the largest liner in the world. It began service from Southampton to New York after the 2nd World War and sank in Hong Kong in 1972 after a fire. This jug would likely date from the 1950s as a fire at the Canuck Pottery in Saint John in 1963 forced them to relocate to Labelle Quebec.
This gorgeous little jug is in the fat lava style with a white drip over the dark brown. It is stamped underneath on the red clay “Canuck Pottery St. John N.B. Canada. It is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips, It stands 3¾” high and is approx. 3½” at its widest.

Re shipping. When you check out you will be quoted a price for the shipping based on your address and the estimated physical size and weight of the package.
All items destined to any country outside of Canada (including USA) will have tariffs applied (percentage of the item’s value depending on the country of origin) and brokerage fees (approx $2).
Items destined to the USA require a label or mark stating the country of origin – in many cases vintage items aren’t marked and I may have to physically attach such a label myself.
I use Chit Chats, a Canadian shipping company that shops around for the best rates from both public and private sources worldwide.
