George Alfred Henty was a Victorian writer of popular historic fiction for boys in the late 1800s. He wrote dozens of books which have been republished frequently up to the present day. This is an original published by M. A. Donohue & Co. of Chicago around 1899. This volume actually contains 3 stories. “The Golden Canon” (Spanish for canyon) is 121 pgs. A second story “The Stone Chest” is just under 100 pgs and then there is a 15 pg short story “White Faced Dick”.
It is hardcover with 239 pgs plus 3 pages of publisher’s ads. It measures 7.5″ x 5″. Condition is good to very good with pale green cover and a pasted colour picture on the cover. It is bumped at the corners with slight yellowing of the pages but essentially no foxing. It has a couple of small page rips and one corner missing.

Re: shipping. I am now using an alternative carrier for most of my shipments and most are now tracked, insured and faster. However, this carrier does not have a shipping calculator that integrates with Etsy so shipping calculations are still from Canada Post. Timeframes will generally be faster and the rates will usually be less than quoted. As a result I am making partial refunds on about half of my shipments – on bulky items to the USA, refunds can be in the double digits.
