This is a Cornflower pattern hostess or cake platter. The engraving was done by W J Hughes of Toronto on a Radiance Clear blank from New Martinsville Glass c.1930-1939. Most cornflower pieces have only 3 or 4 engraved flowers – this one has nine – a lot of extra handwork – gorgeous.
It is 14.75″ in diameter and stands about 3/4″ high at the edges. It has some minor scratches from use but otherwise excellent condition.

Re: shipping. I am now using an alternative carrier for most of my shipments and most are now tracked, insured and faster. However, this carrier does not have a shipping calculator that integrates with Etsy so shipping calculations are still from Canada Post. Timeframes will generally be faster and the rates will usually be less than quoted. As a result I am making partial refunds on about half of my shipments – on bulky items to the USA, refunds can be in the double digits. If you want an accurate quote in advance please email me with your full address, postal code & country.
All items are packed carefully and securely. I use recycled materials wherever possible.
I will combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever appropriate in order to save you money.
