I am listing a number of pieces of Adams Old Colonial (last picture). Many of these are in good to excellent condition while others are chipped or stained. I am selling the good condition pieces in lots and throwing in the damaged ones at no additional charge if you want them.
The Adams family were pottery royalty. Adams was founded in 1769 in Staffordshire, England and the company continued as an independent entity right up to 1966 when it, as with so many others, became part the Wedgwood Group. Wedgwood continued production using the Adams name for another 30 years, but retired it in the late 1990s. Adams produced a huge range of patterns but is perhaps best-known for Old Colonial. It was introduced in the 1950s and had a hand-applied floral decoration.
The mark on the back of these dates them to the Wedgwood period. The ring around the Adams name reads “Real English Ironstone – Micratex”. Micratex is tradename for an extra strong ware introduced in 1963.

I have 7 of these cups & saucers.. Four cups and 4 saucers are in very good to excellent condition. The other three have small chips and/or stains. The price and the shipping shown are for the lot of 4 good ones. I will throw in the other 3 at no additional charge (other than the additional shipping) if you want them.
I am also listing in this same pattern 2 lots of 10″ dinner plates, some 6″ bread & butter plates, and some 6″ dessert bowls / nappies. The more you buy the lower the unit shipping cost will be.

Re shipping. When you check out you will be quoted a price for the shipping based on your address and the estimated physical size and weight of the package.
All items destined to any country outside of Canada (including USA) will have tariffs applied (percentage of the item’s value depending on the country of origin) and brokerage fees (approx $2).
Items destined to the USA require a label or mark stating the country of origin – in many cases vintage items aren’t marked and I may have to physically attach such a label myself.
I use Chit Chats, a Canadian shipping company that shops around for the best rates from both public and private sources worldwide.
All items are packed carefully and securely. I use recycled materials wherever possible. Most shipments are insured.
I will combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever appropriate in order to save you money. I will refund the saving when the items are shipped.
If you live or work in the vicinity of Whitby, Ontario, you can pick up your purchase and save the shipping charges. You could also drop by and view the items we’ve listed in person. See address below.
