Massimo Vignelli designed the Hellerware series in the 1950’s for Morris Heller and Sons, Inc., of Newark, New Jersey and it quickly became a touchstone of modern design and has been referred to as “icon of sixties utilitarian chic.” This pitcher will add a mid century modern flair to your bar or dining room. Italian designer Vignelli is perhaps most famous for his New York City Subway signage. He also created the American Airlines logo, as well as branding for IBM and Bloomingdale’s, plus furniture, interiors, and, of course, housewares.
This pitcher has a removable silver chrome base which is lined with cork. (Remove 2 screws where the handle attaches to the upper ring – see last picture.) This protects your furniture from sweating off the metal. Hellerware was marketed as “Masterpieces of Elegance in Chromium.”.
It is approx 9″ high and about 7.5″ across the spout and the handle. Excellent condition – possibly never used.

Re shipping. When you check out you will be quoted a price for the shipping based on your address and the estimated physical size and weight of the package.
All items destined to any country outside of Canada (including USA) will have tariffs applied (percentage of the item’s value depending on the country of origin) and brokerage fees (approx $2).
Items destined to the USA require a label or mark stating the country of origin – in many cases vintage items aren’t marked and I may have to physically attach such a label myself.
I use Chit Chats, a Canadian shipping company that shops around for the best rates from both public and private sources worldwide.
