This is a picture of Niagara Falls from before they diverted half the water through the various power plants. It is covered by a plastic sheet so there may be some minor distortions in the images. The caption under the picture reads “Entered according to Act of Congress A.D.1873 by D. Appleton & Co. in the office of the Librarian of Congress, Washington”. On the Left it reads “Harry Fenn, Fecit” (artist). On the right it reads ” S. V. Hunt, Sculpt” (engraver)
There are a few foxing marks and a small stain on the right edge of the picture but it doesn’t seem to affect the picture. The mat is 16″ x 12″and appears to be in good condition ready for framing. The opening is 11 1/8′ x 7 1/8″ and the picture is 9 1/4″ x 5 1/4″.

Re shipping. When you check out you will be quoted a price for the shipping based on your address and the estimated physical size and weight of the package.
All items destined to any country outside of Canada (including USA) will have tariffs applied (percentage of the item’s value depending on the country of origin) and brokerage fees (approx $2).
Items destined to the USA require a label or mark stating the country of origin – in many cases vintage items aren’t marked and I may have to physically attach such a label myself.
I use Chit Chats, a Canadian shipping company that shops around for the best rates from both public and private sources worldwide.
All items are packed carefully and securely. I use recycled materials wherever possible. Most shipments are insured.
I will combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever appropriate in order to save you money. I will refund the saving when the items are shipped.
